and here it is...

I've officially been accepted into the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor's College of Nursing!! I am so excited, I was anxiously awaiting to see what exactly was going to happen next semester. :-) I am so very excited to be on my way to being a NURSE! I am very aware of how difficult it is going to be, but I am very excited to start this adventure! My dreams are a comin' true. xoxo.

and it's comfort.

I feel like I've completely over blogged lately, but I am over it. I was sitting in my apartment today, just relaxing before class when I realized that my Mamoo is all over this apartment. Two crosses from her funeral are hanging in my living room. Some old books are sitting around as decor. I use some of her old dishes daily. I wear shoes and clothes (which are very cute, of course) that she bought for me weekly. I carry a precious gift of a purse that she gave me on my 18th birthday all the time. She is everywhere. I miss her, but this is comforting.

and Miss MHB pageant has come and gone!

Miss MHB Pageant is a huge tradition at Mary-Hardin Baylor. It's something that stretches the girls and gives them an opportunity of a lifetime. I got the opportunity to work with lights, spot lights to be exact! I got to get a glimpse of how much this time changes the girls lives. It changes their perspective on a lot of things, and gives them a huge group of sisters (22 to be exact) that they will have an unexplainable relationship with for the rest of their lives, basically. It was so sweet to watch this unfold over the past two months. I live with two contestants and I got to see the chaos behind it, the pressure, the emotions and then the bittersweet realization that this realization has come and gone. Here are some pictures of the festivities, but I don't have any of the contestants on crowning night. Angie does, and I will show those off soon :)

and autumn makes me happy.

Halloween anyone? If you need help knowing what we are dressed up as I will be happy to help you. We are (from left to right) Katy Perry, Sorority Girl, and Brittney Spears (think hit me baby one more time music video). Halloween was a great and funny and wonderful and fun and everything else. The girl on the left, you might not recognize as much as my beautiful roommate in the center. He name is Kayla. She lives down stairs and she's one of my new favorites. Just so you know.  AND MY EVER beautiful roommate, being beautiful in the middle. Mary Bauc.




SO holidays are coming soon. I can't help but have a negative attitude towards new traditions, but I am excited to see all my family and celebrate my favorite time of year! About one month left until this semester is over. wow time. Ok slow down :)

Miss MHB is this weekend! So excited to see all the hard work put into this pageant come to life! So exciting! Two of my roommates are contestants!! double excitement!

Nursing school! I am on the waiting list, which is not bad news at all, in fact... a very rare place to be placed. Less than half who applied were accepted, I am still proud and very anxious to see if a spot opens up for me! I am being patient because I am still just hangin' on by a nail as to what my next semester's plan is. WE WILL SEE! God's good :)

and it's delightful.

     Let me start by saying I have been blessed with the most wonderful boyfriend in the whole world. I am not going to go on and on about him, even though I could. I just wanted everyone to know simply that I'm the luckiest girl in the world, hands down. That's all.

     Last night I had to run to the ER. My foot got pounced on by a cleat while dancing the night away at a costume party. I got some x-rays and was relieved to hear it was not broken. Still a big fat black and blue knot on top of my foot, and unable to walk on it for a couple of days. It was an adventure for sure!

    TEST. Scary harry word. I am going to be up all night long studying for my lab exam tomorrow afternoon! Yikesies. I can finally see an end to the end of the semester. I'm not delighted in the fact that college is moving SO quickly, but I am delighted in the fact that microbiology is almost over. I'm learning a lot this semester, besides just the books.

   I am anticipating to hear from the College of Nursing soon. Fingers crossed. Prayers prayers prayers.
